We work with fresh produce, and some of it always gets discarded: fruit that failed inspection, trimmings, produce that expired before it shipped. That cannot be driven to zero. What can be done is measuring it every day and deciding where it goes.
That as much as possible of what we discard becomes useful again — compost for the soil, feed for animals, a donation while the produce is still good — and that the genuinely avoidable loss falls year over year. We publish the figures even when they are not flattering: a sustainability page that only shows good news says nothing.
For every 1 kilograms discarded, only 1 ends up in landfill. The rest goes back to the soil or onto a table.
Every figure is relative on purpose: publishing absolute volumes would reveal operational data that does not belong on a public page.

What share of everything discarded each product category accounts for. We publish it because knowing where it hurts is the first step to bringing it down.
They come from the same system we operate with. Every waste entry is recorded as it happens, with its stage, its reason and its destination; nobody estimates them afterwards or adjusts them for this page.
Weight comes from the scale whenever it was weighed. When it was not, it is converted from the product unit. Anything that cannot be converted is left out of the calculation rather than estimated, which is why we publish the coverage.
The figures are recalculated every morning from the previous day. Nobody reviews or edits them before they are published.
